The start point is a meeting with you to find out about your home. We want to get a feel for your culture and values and your expectations from Alexa for your residents.

 

We will explain the process we recommend for your home and how we get the best results for residents, staff and relatives.

If you have an Activities Coordinator this is a good opportunity to get them involved.

Once you have selected a roster of suitable residents we ask you to introduce us to their relative and prepare them for us to make contact.

 

During a phone call we explain what is required of the relative and cover the admin and technical details which smooths the process.

 

This meeting results in relatives confirming participation and an on-going dialogue is set up together with an appointment for installation.

We install the Alexa device in the resident's room. A tutorial is conducted explaining what can be done with Alexa (see Our Service).

 

The final part of this meeting is the resident's first Alexa video call. We pre-arrange this with the relative so that both they and the resident can experience the new connectedness they have opened up. We leave an aide memoir cue card for residents and staff and a compendium of Alexa skills.

In the weeks that follow installation, relatives will conduct video calls with residents and staff can interact with residents trying out things on Alexa for fun. We will visit the resident after a couple of weeks to see how they are getting on and conduct a further tailored tutorial.

For the duration of our association we provide a 'hotline' to you, staff and relatives.
