Our Service - How it Works
Step 1

The AurisBuddie has a meeting with you, usually by phone. During this we sort out the administrative set-up involving joining Amazon, using the Alexa App and the setup of your loved one's new Alexa device.
Step 2
​
We visit the home of your loved one and Set Up the Alexa. During the visit the AurisBuddie will give a one-on-one tutorial to get your relative up to speed with talking to Alexa. During this visit we get you to video call us from your smartphone to experience what video calling is like. We will leave a reminder 'cue' card as a prompt for your parent or grandparent after we have gone.
From this day for a period of six months both you and your loved one will have an office hours hotline. Call us if you get stuck, or if you have a question?
Step 3
Your AurisBuddie will arrange a second visit, two weeks from the first, to see how they are doing and answer any questions they and you may have. During this session they will demonstrate more useful things, specific to your loved one, that can be done with Alexa.

This is what its all about 'Handsfree Video Calling' and calls to Mobiles and Landlines.
Setting reminders
Add items to the shopping list, set a reminder for the time to take medication. Alexa will wake you up with your favourite radio station.
Search YouTube
Check out YouTube for your favourite author's audio books. Look for Black & White movies to play.

Let's check what the buttons do, and find the best place to put the device. Learn how to move it around the house.
Play Radio
Try all the BBC Sounds stations or Radio Wave, Gold, Boom or Isle of Wight Radio and many more.
Enjoy Alexa
Get the weather and news. And try recipes, quizzes, fitness routines and general knowledge. Have Alexa's screen show you all the latest family photographs.
Listen to Music
Alexa will play your favourite music, just ask her for a song an album or your preferred artists.
Streaming Services
If you have the subscriptions, you can watch movies and TV shows from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
